Franco-Amazigh Book Fair in Paris

The Franco-Amazigh Cultural Space of Paris, in partnership with the CBF Franco-Berber Cultural Network, is organising the Franco-Amazigh book fair on Saturday 3 October 2026, from 1 pm to 7 pm, at the town hall of Paris’s 13th arrondissement.
For this unprecedented event, some fifty authors and around ten publishers will gather around books, creation and the transmission of Amazigh culture.

A rich, diverse and living literary creation
Literature, history, humanities, culture, research, testimonies, youth, memory… The fair will showcase the full diversity of a publishing output expressed in French, in Tamazight or in both languages.
Through their books and their careers, the authors and publishers present bear witness to a living, plural and constantly evolving creation, which helps make known the history, languages, cultures and societies of the Amazigh world.
The fair thus aims to offer the public a special opportunity to discover authors, meet publishers and access books that are sometimes hard to find in traditional book distribution channels.
Giving a place to a production that is still too little visible
Although Amazigh literary and publishing creation is particularly dynamic today, it remains insufficiently represented in institutions and in the major networks devoted to books and culture.
The Franco-Berber book fair intends to help change this situation.
Its ambition is to create a space where authors and publishers can present their work, talk directly with readers and gain visibility, while encouraging exchanges with players from the cultural world.
It is also a reminder that the book is a formidable tool for passing on knowledge, memory and languages, but also a space for creation, reflection and dialogue between generations.
The book at the heart of transmission
Beyond the literary encounter, the fair carries an essential stake: passing on and keeping alive a cultural, linguistic and historical heritage.
Authors and publishers play a decisive role in this respect. Often working with limited means and few institutional relays, they nevertheless carry out fundamental work to document, tell, explain and pass on Amazigh history and cultures.
This effort is particularly important for younger Franco-Amazigh generations, who can find in books resources to better know their history, understand their heritage and build their relationship with this memory.
An afternoon of encounters and discoveries
On Saturday 3 October, the public will be invited to meet the authors and publishers, discover their books, talk with them and explore the diversity of Amazigh publishing.
The fair is above all meant to be an open and friendly space, bringing together readers, authors, publishers, literature lovers, cultural players and the general public around a common goal: making the book a place of encounter and transmission.
Making known a creation that deserves its full place
Through this initiative, the Franco-Amazigh Cultural Space of Paris and the CBF Franco-Berber Cultural Network wish to help give greater visibility to the authors and publishers who teach us about the Amazigh world and to encourage their lasting place in the French cultural landscape.
The Franco-Amazigh book fair thus intends to lay the foundations of an event meant to become a regular space of encounter, discovery, dialogue and recognition for Amazigh literary and publishing creation.
